First World Autism Awareness Day
Tomorrow, April 2, marks the observance of the first World Autism Awareness Day, which is sponsored by the United Nations. The celebration is a worldwide event encouraging improved research studies and technology, as well as increased awareness and compassion. My hope is that it will help us gain knowledge and understanding of and responsiveness to Autism. While there is controversy within the Autism community, more knowledge, more awareness, more activity and more compassion is great for everyone.
